The first ever

SKY ACADEMY SEMINAR &SKY MUSIC FESTIVAL

is going to take place in Los Angeles, California
on May 24-28, 2006.

ULI JON ROTH will personally lead the guitar and music seminar,
which is coupled with a series of three exclusive L.A. concerts
by himself and his new band in the same venue.

Each concert is going to be devoted to a different theme
and will feature music from all phases of Uli’s career, including
SCORPIONS, ELECTRIC SUN, SKY OF AVALON
and TRANSCENDENTAL SKY GUITAR.

The venue for both the Academy and the concerts is the
Ralph Freud Theater at the University Campus of Los Angeles (UCLA).

[24:th Augusty] METAMORPHOSIS - First Pictures

[16:th Augusty] The Artwork for the Metamorphosis is finished, and it looks just amazing.

[12:th Augusty] The Metamorphosis is mixed and finished, and most of the artwork as well.

[20:th July] The album should be finished within a few days and Uli tells me he is very proud of the result. Release dates will follow soon.

METAMORPHOSIS
Uli is currently working on his next release. He has recorded Vivaldi's Four Seasons at his studio with an orchestra and is now putting finishing touches to this amazing piece of music.
He also is recording his exciting new guitar concerto 'METAMORPHOSIS', which is loosely based on the Vivaldi concertos and will appear on the same album.
Recordings should be finished in March followed by the mixing and art work.
With a bit of luck the album could be out before the summer.

Musicians way to honour their source of inspiration.
Uli himself has not been involved in the production.

(2002-12-03) LEGENDS OF ROCK UK TOUR has successfully finished and Uli wants to thank all his fans and friends for their ongoing support. The tour was an amazing journey with many musical and emotional highlights which played to enraptured audiences everywhere. U.J.R.'s set was certainly the most contemporary element of the show, which was largely based around the theme of TRANSCENDENTAL SKY GUITAR.
There were several pieces Uli had not yet played before. A particularly moving highlight was his rendition of 'MARIA' from WESTSIDE STORY, which brought tears to the eyes of some in the audience. The most unusual piece of music of these concerts was also possibly the one which was best received, judging by the length of applause every evening; this was a condensed version of Uli's new guitar concerto METAMORPHOSIS, which will be released next Spring.
Further highlights were three surprise appearances (Manchester, London, Aberystwyth) by LIZ VANDALL, who sang the complete introduction of U.J.R.'s HIROSHIMA SYMPHONY accompanied by Uli on the keyboards. Further big highlights in the show every evening were FRANK MARINO'S 'STRANGE UNIVERSE' as well as an amazing version of VOODOO CHILE by him, Uli and Frank sharing the stage for ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER, which had the audience enthralled every evening with their stunning dual guitar leads.
GLENN HUGHES' version of 'MISTREATED' as well as A WHITER SHADE OF PALE'. And last, but not least, JACK BRUCE's heart rending vocals on 'WE'RE GOING WRONG' complemented by dramatic and haunting guitar by Uli. There were also many inspired guitar/ bass duels during Jack's Cream set, where Jack and Uli shone in the best spirit of the Cream tradition.

(2002-08-08) THE ULTIMATE GUITAR EXPERIENCE which was supposed to happen this year has been postponed to next year. The artists were supposed to be Yngwie Malmsteen, Al Di Meola and Uli Jon Roth.

All three Elctric Sun albums will be digitally remastered and rereleased by SPV soon.
The Prologue will also be rereleased.

Exclusively devoted to Uli's early Electric Sun period (1978 to 1983). This 2 hour plus video contains previously unreleased promotional videos followed by various concert performances from that period. The footage was selected from Uli Jon Roth's personal archives and has been made available to the public for the first time. Highlights include the 1979 Electric Sun Amsterdam studio appearances, featuring four songs from the Earthquake album, excerpts from the the by now legendary Newcastle City Hall concert in 1983 and more.
